Fees on Futures Trading

Futures Trading Fees (Assuming Fixed Fees)

Fees on Cosmic are calculated based on the Notional Size:

Notional Size = Spot Price × Quantity

Example:

BTC Price = $26,200
Quantity Traded = 0.3 BTC

Notional Size = 26,200 × 0.3 = $7,860

Assumed Futures Trading Fees:

• Taker Fee: 0.05% of Notional Size
• Maker Fee: 0.02% of Notional Size

Maker orders have lower fees because they provide liquidity to the market.

Futures Trade Example:

Trade: Buy 0.3 BTC Futures Contracts

BTC Price = $26,200
Quantity = 0.3 BTC

Notional Size = $7,860

Fee Calculation:

• Taker Order Fee: 0.05% × 7,860 = $3.93
• Maker Order Fee: 0.02% × 7,860 = $1.57

The same fee calculation applies to both BUY and SELL futures orders.
