Blue Screen

A blue screen is displayed on the device and normal operation is not possible.

Symptoms

  • Entire screen appears blue.

  • System may become unresponsive.

  • Error message or stop code may be displayed.

  • Device may restart automatically or remain on the blue screen.

Possible Causes

  • Operating system crash.

  • Corrupted system files.

  • Faulty hardware (RAM, storage, motherboard, etc.).

  • Driver conflicts or failed updates.

  • Overheating or power-related issues.

Resolution Steps

Step 1: Record the Error Information

If an error code or message is visible:

  1. Take a photo or screenshot (if possible).

  2. Note if any error message displayed.

Step 2: Restart the Device

  1. Hold the power button for 10 seconds to shut down the device.

  2. Wait 30 seconds.

  3. Turn the device back on.


Step 3: Boot into Safe Mode

  1. Restart the device.

  2. Access the recovery or advanced startup menu.

  3. Select Safe Mode.

  4. If the device starts successfully, investigate recently installed software or drivers.
